Golfing at Myrtle Beach With My Kid Sister!

One of my sisters (the youngest one) just recently moved to South Carolina, not too far from the well known Myrtle Beach area, and she is loving it. She has been letting it be known that she would love for family to come and visit her and has been sending several emails with links to various Myrtle Beach Resorts that she thinks would be of interest and affordable to stay at.

It is most unfortunate that her new place isn’t very big so she doesn’t have any additional room for anyone to stay there overnight but that’s O.K. with me because I have sleep issues and prefer to stay somewhere that I would be able to be comfortable and get a good night’s sleep at. The last link that she sent me was www.myrtlebeachseasideresorts.com and I have to say that their options sound wonderful.

At http://www.myrtlebeachseasideresorts.com/ they show six different resorts to choose from. All of them offer easy online registration, with a variety of specials and packages to suite just about every one’s needs and wants.

Since we come from a family of avid golfers, and Myrtle Beach is known for their golf courses, I would like to find one that offers good golf packages Myrtle Beach style and I think that I have come up with one that will do us justice. Now we just have to figure out the dates that will be best for everyone involved and I’ll dip into my vacation savings account and head down south for some fun in the sun with my kid sister. Something to look forward to, to be sure.

Dining room makeover

I’ve had my eye on some pretty dining chair cushions at the store for at least a year now.  I am having a hard time justifying spending a lot of money on something that I WANT and don’t really NEED.   One of the reasons for my reluctance is the fact that my family tends to be very messy and I know that beautiful new cushions will quickly stain and the ties will quickly tear out.  I sure wish that someone would sell slipcovers for these things!  I’ve considered sewing some slipcovers myself, and maybe that is what I should ultimately do.

I have decided to buy a clear vinyl tablecloth to put over the top of the dining room table.  I love the look of the wood, but I want to protect it from the water rings that my family is sure to cause from their careless use.  I can’t understand why they don’t care whether the table looks nice or not.  I don’t know, maybe I should just buy a large piece of tempered put on top of the table to protect it.  Okay, I’m a neat freak, I admit it.  But the dining room set was hand made by my husband’s grandfather and I want to protect it from harm!

Biker Gear

DH recently bought a Harley Davidson Motorcycle, (which I am convinced he loves more than me! LOLOL – after all, he carpeted the garage to park his bike, and he cleans it after every ride!)  He is constantly talking about buying a new leather jacket, new gloves, and new leather “stuff” for riding his bike.  With Christmas season coming up in a few weeks, I will be thinking about HD stuff to give him for gifts.  I just stumbled across this website that sells leather biking “stuff” for great prices.  A variety of jackets, gloves, gear bags, chaps, boots, vests, wallets….  so I just might be buying some stuff for his Christmas gifts from them!

Buying at wholesale prices

I love to buy things at outlets where I pay wholesale prices without having to register as a retailer and can just buy things and use them at home!  One such example of that is the Takemi Select Wholesale Outlet where you can buy massage therapy chairs or massage beds for up to 75% off of the retail price.  They are located in Florida, but offer free shipping.  They accept credit cards, and also offer 12 months no interest financing.

GPS tracking devices

Even though our dogs have been micro chipped, we really would love to have affordable miniature GPS Tracking devices to put on their collars – just in case the neighbor gets really bold one day and actually tries to steal one of the dogs.  Microchips will help a lost dog be returned home, but a GPS Tracking device might help find a stolen one!  I found a great website that has all kinds of different tracking devices for all kinds of business and personal needs, but I haven’t been able to find one small enough for a dog though.  If you find one small enough for a dog, let me know!
