I know he was freezing his a$$ off all the way to the ride. But that just goes to show you that chivalry is not dead in America, yet.
Having lived in New England for 39 years, I know something about getting a shopping cart from the store to the car in the winter. Looking closely at the picture, you can tell that the snow is fairly fresh, the parking lot has not been plowed. Shopping cart wheels just don’t want to move through the snow! A person could have a heart attack pushing those things through wet snow!
I have always thought that in the winter time the carts should have drop-down ski-like runners on them to glide through the parking lots. If two people are shopping, it is much easier for one person to stay with the cart at the store entrance while the other person goes to retrieve the car and drive up to the store. Since most men prefer to be the driver of the car, (especially in bad weather) it makes sense that he would be the one to get the car! Call me a skeptic, but I doubt chivalry had much to do with it! LOLOL!
